Sustainable Christmas gift ideas

Christmas is coming soon and thus I would like to share some sustainable gift ideas with you.

First and foremost, Christmas period, at least for me, associates with home coziness, spending time with beloved ones, and taking care of the ones who need it the most. It associates with home-baked gingerbread, clementines and Home Alone movies.

For that, I think the best gifts you can give to anybody is your:

- undivided attention and time, be it a visit or a video call;

- home-baked apple pie;

- handcrafted art, where you put a piece of your heart and hand work in e.g. a postcard, candle, knitted garment.

Of course, buying some gifts for our beloved ones are also very Christmasy! Especially if the gifts are thoughtful and personally crafted. A few things I would suggest to bear in mind while shopping sustainably this year would be: buy local, support small businesses and be mindful of your gifts. Sometimes buying less, but good quality, can be much more meaningful!
